Which delivery service is right for you? To help you decide, we picked the main third-party delivery services that are operating and the average hourly rates expected in the New York City market, according to national hiring agency, Glassdoor. Here’s what we found:
To begin delivering throughout the New York area, drivers need a license, a smartphone that can download the latest iterations of the preferred delivery apps, and access to a car.
Car Rental Makes It Easy

The best strategy, however, is to sign up for more than two third-party delivery apps, even if you’re planning to concentrate on delivering within certain neighborhoods. (Most customers use more than one delivery app, so why not you?) This will better your chances of picking up multiple items at each restaurant you visit. And you’ll be able to group your pickups and deliveries with more strategy and efficiency.
